Who We Are

A non-profit organization whose goal is to preserve the history of Shelby County, Texas.  We share history about Shelby County, Texas and its early settlers and more!

What We Do

The museum preserves the history of Shelby County, helps with genealogy research and host a variety of exhibits. Museum volunteers provide visitor information related to Shelby County history via books, documents, photos and an online listing related to cemeteries in the county and more.  The museum's archives include family pictures as well as old family Bibles linked to early settlers in the area.
