Center Garden Club

Who We Are

We are the Center Garden Club, organized and federated in 1955 in Center, Texas. Our club is a member of National Garden Clubs, South Central Region, Texas Garden Clubs, and District III—Southern Zone. The objectives and activities of Center Garden Clubs may be viewed by accessing the sites of the garden club affiliations referenced above.

What We Do

Present programs during monthly lunch meetings and public workshops, plant and maintain urns on downtown square, present horticultural exhibitions at the local bank, celebrate Arbor Day with ceremonies and tree plantings at parks and schools, present Veterans Day programs, present demonstrations/ programs in the public schools and at 4-H meetings, attend district and state garden club conferences and workshops, award “Yard of the Month” recognition, award scholarships, present monthly plants or floral designs to public institutions, provide public speakers, purchase nature-related children’s books for the public library, make field trips to nurseries and historical sites…and more.
